Pneumatic Air Mover VK-PAM
The VK-PAM is a pneumatic air mover built by Vikay Mining Equipments in India for underground mines, shaft sinking and tunnels. It works on the venturi principle: a small volume of high velocity air through the nozzle jets induces a much larger volume of low velocity air through the diffuser, so it moves far more air than it consumes. It runs on 100 cfm and has no moving parts to fail, which is why it is used for air filtration and breathing air where a fan would be impractical.

Will my compressor run the VK-PAM?
The VK-PAM needs 100 cfm at 70 to 80 psi, delivered continuously. A compressor shared with a second machine has to be sized for both.
Should I use an air mover or a ventilation fan?
An air mover where there is no power at the face and nothing should be left to fail; a fan where volume is what matters. The air mover works on the venturi principle: a small volume of high velocity air through the nozzle jets drags a much larger volume through the diffuser behind it, so it moves far more air than it consumes. Nothing rotates, so there is nothing to service. The VK-PVF16 fan moves 2,000 cfm and is the choice where that volume is needed.
Will the VK-PAM run on the air I already have underground?
It needs 100 cfm of compressed air and nothing else: no power, no starter, no controls. That is why it is used for air filtration and breathing air in shaft sinking and tunnels, where running a supply to a fan would be the harder job.
