VK 12 Pneumatic Drifter

The VK 12 is a 70 kg rifle bar rotated pneumatic drifter, technically equivalent to the Atlas Copco BBC 120F. Rig mounted rather than hand held, it drills 51 to 89 mm holes for drifting, tunnelling, bench drilling and long hole work, using 167 l/s of air through a 120 mm bore. Rotation is reversible and can be disengaged so the impact mechanism works alone, the machine converts between water flushing and air blowing, and hoses mount on either side to keep them clear of the face. It works underground and on surface.

Can the VK-12 replace a BBC 120F?

Yes. The VK-12 is technically equivalent to the Atlas Copco BBC 120F, manufactured by Vikay in India. It runs a 120 mm piston on a 65 mm stroke at 70 kg on 167 l/s of air at 7 bar.
