Description
VK 06 Scabbler
VK 06 Scabbler is built by Vikay Mining Equipments in India and is technically equivalent to the CP 0006 Scabbler. It is used for scaling, roughening, or removal of concrete. They can also be used for removal of rust on steel surfaces. Spare parts for this machine are supplied to original specification. Enquire for price and lead time.
Scabblers – VK 06 ( 10 lb )
The VK 06 is a 4.5 kg pneumatic scabbler, technically equivalent to the Chicago Pneumatic CP 0006. It runs at 3,200 blows per minute, the fastest tool Vikay builds, which is what surface work needs: scaling, roughening and removing concrete, keying construction joints, and taking heavy corrosion and thick scale off steel. Tungsten carbide tipped pistons last considerably longer than plain steel and are replaceable in the field. It works horizontally and vertically.
Applications
Concrete cleaning and roughening
Keying the surface of construction joints
Produce ornamental or contrasting finishes on concrete surfaces
Features
Easy to use due to simple design
Ideal of Removing thick scale heavy corrosion
Tungsten carbide-tipped pistons last longer and are easily replaced

VK 06 Scabbler FAQs
Can the VK 06 replace a CP 0006?
Yes. Vikay manufactures the VK 06 in India as the technical equivalent of the Chicago Pneumatic CP 0006. It strikes 3,200 blows a minute at 4.5 kg.
Do I need a scabbler or a breaker?
A scabbler if the concrete is staying and the surface has to be roughened or scaled back, before a new screed or coating goes on. A breaker if the concrete is coming out. The VK 06 also strips rust and scale from steel, which a breaker will not do.

How does the VK 06 remove concrete?
Through three four point carbide tipped pistons striking at 3,200 blows per minute. The machine weighs 4.5 kg and is 481 mm long, so it is held and worked over a surface rather than driven into it.
