Description
VK 14RR Rotary Drill
VK 14RR Rotary Drill is built by Vikay Mining Equipments in India and is technically equivalent to the CP 14RR Rotary Hammer. It is used for wide variety of construction and maintenance applications such as drilling holes in concrete, bricks or rock. Spare parts for this machine are supplied to original specification. Hand Drill – VK 14RR ( 15 lb )
The VK 14RR is a 6.5 kg rotary hammer, technically equivalent to the Chicago Pneumatic CP 14RR. Heavier than the VK 9B, it runs at 2,520 blows per minute on 22 l/s of air through a 22 x 82.5 mm shank, for setting masonry anchors and drilling concrete, granite, limestone and brickwork. It doubles as a chipping hammer for scarifying, scaling and cleaning welds. A teasing throttle gives fine control for quarry pop shots and sign hanging, and a muffler is available.

VK 14RR Hand Drill FAQs
Can the VK 14RR replace a CP 14RR?
Yes. The VK 14RR is technically equivalent to the Chicago Pneumatic CP 14RR, manufactured by Vikay in India. It strikes 2,520 blows a minute at 6.5 kg on 22 l/s of air at 6 bar. It takes the same 22 x 82.5 mm shank, so drill bits already on site will fit.
Will Vikay parts fit my CP 14RR?
Yes. Vikay manufactures the VK 14RR, which is technically equivalent to the Chicago Pneumatic CP 14RR, and the replacement parts alongside it. The same parts serve both, so a machine already in service can be kept running on them. The listing, with part numbers and the assemblies they belong to, is on the CP 14RR Chicago Pneumatic Hand Drill Parts page.
What is the difference between the VK 9B and the VK 14RR?
This page is the VK 14RR, the larger of the two at 6.5 kg. Both are pneumatic rotary drills for holes in concrete, brick and block. The VK 14RR is the larger of the two and takes the heavier work; the VK 9B is the lighter hand drill.
Will my compressor run the VK 14RR?
The VK 14RR needs 22 l/s at 6 bar (47 cfm at 87 psi), delivered continuously. The inlet is 9.5 mm, so run at least that hose bore: anything narrower throttles the machine before the compressor does. At 2,520 blows a minute the draw is constant rather than intermittent, so size the compressor against that figure rather than against a peak.
Will my existing drill bits fit the VK 14RR?
The VK 14RR takes a 22 x 82.5 mm shank (7/8" X 3 1/4"), so any drill bit cut to that shank fits, whatever machine it came off. If the shank does not match, the tools are the cheaper thing to change. The retainer is the spring type.
