VK 4689D Riveting Hammer is built by Vikay Mining Equipments in India and is technically equivalent to the CP 4689D Riveting Hammer. It is used for riveting works also it can be converted easily to a rivet buster with retainer for using chisels. Spare parts for this machine are supplied to original specification. Rivet Buster – VK 4689 (50 D, 60 D, 80 D)
The VK 4689D is a 9.7 kg riveting hammer, technically equivalent to the Chicago Pneumatic CP 4689D, also sold as a Rivet Boyer or heavy duty rivet cutter. It delivers 1,500 blows per minute and has a riveting capacity of 30 mm, for work on tanks, steel cars and light structural steel. The D handle carries an inside pull trigger, and the tool converts to a rivet buster by exchanging the riveter. Three models are built: VK 4689 50 D, 60 D and 80 D.

Which Vikay rivet buster do I need?
This page is the VK 4689D. Three sizes are manufactured, each in a D handle and a pistol grip version. The 4608 is the lightest at about 14 kg, the 4611 the middle at about 15 kg, and the 4689 is the riveting hammer, which converts to a rivet buster by fitting a retainer and a chisel. The handle is a separate decision from the size: the D handle for sustained two handed work on rivets and concrete, the pistol grip for tight spaces and overhead.
