Description
VK 777 Paving Breaker-77lb
VK 777 Paving Breaker-77lb is built by Vikay Mining Equipments in India and is technically equivalent to the RB 777 Jack Hammer. It is used for breaking up concrete and other solid objects during road construction and installation. Spare parts for this machine are supplied to original specification. VK 777 Paving Breaker (77 lb)
The VK 777 is a 35 kg heavy duty pneumatic breaker, technically equivalent to the RB 777 jack hammer. Its 186 mm piston stroke is the longest in the Vikay breaker range and gives an unusually high power to weight ratio, at 1,300 blows per minute on 33 l/s of air. The construction is deliberately simple, with a quick change retainer and drop forged components, which keeps field maintenance straightforward on remote sites.

VK 777 Paving Breaker FAQs
Can the VK 777 replace an RB 777?
Yes, that is the duty it is made for: the VK 777 is technically equivalent to the RB 777. A 59 mm piston on a 186 mm stroke gives 1,300 blows a minute at 35 kg on 33 l/s of air at 6 bar. It takes the same 32 x 160 mm shank, so moil points, chisels and asphalt cutters already on site will fit.
Which Vikay paving breaker do I need?
This page is the VK 777 at 35 kg, at the heavy end of the range. Vikay manufactures breakers from 13.5 kg to 42 kg and the weight is the job: 13.5 kg for light construction and plant maintenance, 20 to 30 kg for general breaking, asphalt and pavement, 36 kg and above for reinforced concrete, frozen ground and thick pavement. The lightest machine that will do the work is usually the right one, because a heavier breaker breaks faster but tires the operator sooner. Silenced versions are manufactured alongside most models where noise is regulated.

Will my compressor run the VK 777?
The VK 777 needs 33 l/s at 6 bar (72 cfm at 90 psi), delivered continuously. The inlet is 19 mm, so run at least that hose bore: anything narrower throttles the machine before the compressor does. At 1,300 blows a minute the draw is constant rather than intermittent, so allow headroom for hose length and for worn couplings.
Will my existing moil points, chisels and asphalt cutters fit the VK 777?
The VK 777 takes a 32 x 160 mm shank (1 1/4"), so any moil point cut to that shank fits, whatever machine it came off. Check the shank on the tools already held before ordering.
