Wagon Drill DTH Hammer VK-PWDDTH
The VK-PWDDTH is a pneumatic wagon drill in down the hole configuration, built by Vikay Mining Equipments in India. The same three wheel rubber tyred carrier as the top hammer version, but fitted with the BBR-4 piston type rotation air motor for 3 inch and 4 inch pneumatic DTH hammers. It drills 85 to 130 mm holes to depths of up to 40 metres on 450 cfm at 10.5 bar, for production drilling in open cast mines and quarries. A conversion kit changes it to the top hammer version and back.
Optional – Conversion Kit to convert TH version to DTH Version and Vice-versa.

The DTH version is fitted with powerful piston type rotation Air motor, Type BBR-4, suitable for Pneumatic 3” and 4” DTH Hammers. Offering a wide selection of drill hole sizes from 85 to 130 mm, and depth up to 40 Meters.

VK-PWDDTH Wagon Drill FAQs
Can the Vikay wagon drill be converted between top hammer and down the hole?
Yes. The same three wheel rubber tyred carrier takes either configuration and a conversion kit changes it from one to the other and back. This page is the down the hole configuration. The top hammer version carries the VK 12 drifter for 48 to 76 mm holes; the down the hole version carries the BBR-4 rotation motor for 85 to 130 mm holes.

Will my compressor run the VK-PWDDTH?
The VK-PWDDTH needs 450 cfm at 10.5 bar, delivered continuously. The compressor has to hold the figure under load, not merely reach it.
